Privacy Statement Klix.ai

Version date: 28-03-2025

Your privacy is very important to us. Klix Marketing (trading under the name Klix.ai) respects the privacy of all users of our services and website. We act in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In this privacy statement, we clearly and transparently explain which (personal) data we process – and especially what we do NOT do with your data. Our starting point is that we do not process personal data, unless strictly necessary for functional purposes. We focus exclusively on customers within the EU and ensure that our working method fully complies with the GDPR.

1. Who we are

Klix Marketing (trading under the name Klix.ai) is a marketing company established in the Netherlands and focuses on services within the European Union. For all processing of personal data mentioned in this statement, Klix Marketing is the data controller. This means that we determine which personal data may be processed and for what purpose, and that we are responsible for compliance with privacy rules.

2. What data we process (and why)

We basically do NOT process personal data from visitors or customers. So you are not obliged to share personal information with us to be able to use our website or services. Below we explain what this means exactly:

2.1 No customer or visitor data

We do NOT collect personal data from website visitors or customers. Specifically, we do not store names, email addresses, IP addresses or other traceable information from you during your visit.

2.2 No third-party data

When we provide services to our customers, we also do not process personal data from our customers' customers. In other words, we do not process third-party data through our services.

2.3 No external tracking

We do NOT use external tracking or marketing services. So we do NOT use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel (Facebook) or similar third-party tools that collect personal data.

2.4 Own tooling and Bol.com API

For our services, we exclusively use our own tooling and the Bol.com API, with which we can view public product data. This does not concern personal data, but general and publicly available product information (for example price, title, description or stock status). As a result, no processing of personal data takes place through external parties.

2.5 Functional technical data

In certain cases, it is necessary to process limited technical information for the functioning of our website and services. For example, a functional cookie may be placed or security scripts may check certain data for security. Such technical data is used EXCLUSIVELY to make the website work properly or to secure it, and not to identify you as a person. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in providing a safe, well-functioning service.

2.6 Communication data

When you contact us on your own initiative (for example via email), we process the personal data that you provide yourself, such as your name, contact details and the content of your message. We only use this information to respond to your request or to handle your question. The basis for this is your consent (by contacting us yourself) or our legitimate interest in responding to such requests.

Note: We do NOT use automated decision-making or profiling. Since we do not collect personal data, there are also no automated analyses or decisions that can affect you.

3. Retention periods

Since we hardly collect any personal data, we have very limited retention periods. In principle, we do not store any personal data from you. If you do provide us with personal data (for example by sending an email), we only keep that data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which you provided it. Once your question has been handled or the service has been completed, we delete or anonymize your information.

We adhere to the principle of data minimization: not keeping data longer than strictly necessary. Any technical log files or functional cookie information used for security or performance monitoring are only kept briefly and then deleted. No permanent personal profiles or historical data are maintained.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do NOT provide your data to third parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is also no data that we share with external parties for marketing or analysis purposes, for example. We do not sell your information and do not use external data processors; all processing takes place within our own environment (including the use of the Bol.com API to retrieve public product information).

Your data is not passed on or stored outside the European Union. In exceptional cases, we may be legally obliged to provide certain information (for example to government agencies). Of course, we will comply with that obligation in that case, but since we usually do not have personal data from you, we consider this scenario very unlikely.

5. Cookies and technology

Our website and applications only use functional cookies and similar technology for proper operation. We do not place tracking cookies that track your surfing behavior, and we do not use external analytical services. Specifically, we do NOT use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar third-party tools that collect visitor data.

Any cookies that we deploy ourselves serve only a functional purpose, such as remembering your preferences or measuring performance in an anonymized way to improve the site. These cookies contain no personally identifiable information and are not used for marketing or profiling. Since it is only about necessary (functional) cookies, your consent is not required by law. In our own software solutions, only technically necessary code is also used and no means that collect personal data from users.

6. Your rights

Even though we hardly process personal data, you have various privacy rights under the GDPR. If you suspect that we have data from you, or want to exercise your rights for safety, you can invoke the following rights:
